Marci Trevino is passionate about building smarter teams and guiding leaders to make informed and educated decisions in today’s complex and competitive market. She is a business development, marketing, and business strategy expert and her zeal is at the nexus of human resources and information technology.
She started her journey as a Paralegal at the Superior Court of California and then worked as a Project Manager for a telecommunications company. She started her law studies at John F. Kennedy University and was asked to interview for an admissions Law School and Undergrad counselor which then led her to an Administrative Director position for a satellite campus which quickly catapulted her into the world of business development specifically in higher education, vocational, and K-12 public and private schools.
She later became the Associate Director at the Office of Executive Education at The Paul Merage School of Business, University of California, Irvine, and then became the Vice President of Human Resources at Payden & Rygel, a $128 billion privately owned investment firm.
She has consulted for and provided customized training to many organizations, including Fortune 1000 companies, non-profit service providers, and distinguished executives.
She has presented nationally and internationally to business and academic groups and has served on 38+ professional and academic committees in government, law, HR, and higher education.
As an expert in business development, marketing, business strategy, and HR, she keeps abreast of leadership and communication styles within horizontal, vertical, and lateral departments, with a focus on the importance of the alignment between business, employee development, and information technology strategies.
Marci holds a Master’s Degree in Strategic Communications at National University and Bachelor’s Degree in Law and a Paralegal Certificate approved by the American Bar Association (ABA) at John F. Kennedy University, and an Associate Degree in Computer Information Technology at Heald College. She is currently working towards her SHRM - SCP and the California Law HR Specialty certifications.
